Running With Heart in Mind
At The Running Event in Austin, Texas, we had the privilege of collaborating with Runners for Public Lands (RPL) on their transformational campaign: “Run with Heart in Mind.” This activation was about coming together as a community to reflect on the deeper meaning behind our shared passion for running and its profound impact on our lives.
The Campaign
“Run with Heart in Mind” created a space for runners to explore and share their stories, answering thought-provoking questions about the who, what, where, and why behind their runs. At both the RPL trailhead activation and the Fractel booth, we invited attendees to reflect on questions like:
How does running change you?
Why do you run?
The responses filled our trailhead signboards with heartfelt insights, connecting hundreds of runners across shared experiences. This activation was a testament to the power of running and its ability to unite us in purpose.
Why This Campaign Matters to Fractel
At Fractel, the reasons why we run have always been a core pillar of our brand. It’s about the stories that define us, the challenges that shape us and the communities we build. The “Run with Heart in Mind” campaign aligns perfectly with our mission to celebrate the why behind the run, reflecting how running connects people to themselves, others and the natural world.
As a brand deeply inspired by the transformative power of running, we want to share some personal insights from Fractel's founder, Matt Niutta:
How does running change you?
"Running has taught me patience and resilience. It’s shown me that hard work pays off and that tough moments—on the trail and in life—always have light at the end of the tunnel. These lessons have shaped me not just as a runner, but as a business owner, father, and husband."
Why do you run?
"I run for my mental and physical health. Running allows me to connect with friends and explore new places when travelling. It’s how I clear my head after a long day at the office, so I can be more present at home. I also run to stay active with my kids and hope one day they’ll join me too!”
A Shared Purpose
Through this campaign, we’ve seen firsthand the power of collective reflection and storytelling within the running community. Together with RPL, we were able to highlight how running inspires, challenges and transforms us.
To everyone who joined us at TRE and shared your reasons for running: thank you. You’ve inspired us to keep running with heart and purpose, wherever that may be.
