Baptiste Chassagne, French Long Trail Champion

French trail runner, Baptiste Chassagne, has just become the French Long Trail Champion after his incredible performance this past Sunday at the Cité de Pierres in Aveyron. This victory automatically qualifies him for the Innsbruck Worlds in Austria in early June 2023, the next big meeting for the champion.

Baptiste has been preparing for this moment for a long time. It was one of the objectives of his 2023 season, and he was determined to give it his all. In great shape, Baptiste led throughout the 68 km long course and crossed the finish line first after 5h33 of racing, leaving Benjamin Roubiol and Sébastien Maillard behind.

This victory is a great revenge for Baptiste, who had to decline an invitation to the World Trail Championships in Thailand last year after a busy season marked by a fine 10th place at the UTMB CCC and a 3rd place on the SaintéLyon. Regardless, he has bounced back stronger than ever, and his sights are now set on the queen event of the UTMB.

As Baptiste continues to pursue his trail running dreams, he is proud to be supported by Fractel, his trusted headwear sponsor. We're incredibly excited to work with Baptise as he looks to continue his already impressive career.

Stay tuned for more updates on Baptiste's journey as he continues to make waves in the trail running world.
