#whywerun - 3 Men, 1 Marathon
On October 3rd, Niall, Andrew and Mike (collectively @3Men1Marathon) will be running the London Marathon with their ankles tied together (like a school sports day race). The aim is to beat the Guinness World Record for the fastest "4-legged marathon" which currently sits at 4h 44 minutes. They are doing this to raise money for Mencap, a UK based charity that assists those with learning disabilities.
Mencap work tirelessly to support those with a learning disability, their families and their carers. They simply want a world where those with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to and included.
As part of the fundraising efforts they took a three-person bike on a 300km trip from London to Paris. They are only the second group to complete the trip on a tridem, and definitely the least well prepared..
The marathon is now less than 2 weeks away and if you would like to donate to support their cause than you can find their Virgin Money Giving Page here (https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Team/3Men1Marathon ) or follow them @3men1marathon on Instagram or Facebook.
